Location: Hampton Inn & Suites, Jackson, MS
Pay Range: Starting at $20 per hour (Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Lead the Engineering Team at Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will help lead the day-to-day Engineering and Maintenance operations of the hotel. You will ensure the property, guest rooms, equipment, and building systems are maintained to a high standard while supporting a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and General Manager to coordinate maintenance activities, preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and property improvement projects.

A strong Engineering team is essential to hotel operations. Your leadership, technical knowledge, and attention to detail will help keep the property operating efficiently while ensuring maintenance concerns are addressed quickly and professionally.
What You Will Do
  • Supervise and support daily activities of the hotel Engineering and Maintenance team.
  • Assign and prioritize maintenance work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform and oversee routine HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance .
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces for maintenance needs.
  • Respond to guest and departmental maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor completion of work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations and coordinate response efforts.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, inspections, and documentation.
  • Help monitor and maintain hotel equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.
  • Support vendor coordination and follow up on outside repairs and service calls.
  • Assist with property inspections, renovations, capital projects, and improvement initiatives.
  • Train, coach, and support Maintenance team members on proper procedures and safety practices.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe Engineering work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety procedures, and company policies .
  • Partner with hotel leadership to identify recurring maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, building maintenance, or a related field .
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and basic technical documentation.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to train, coach, and support Maintenance team members.
  • Hilton or hotel Engineering experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and emergency situations , as needed.
