Provide financial systems support and business process expertise to Finance Business Unit end users by serving as a liaison between the user community and SAP Center of Excellence (COE), Information Technology teams, and other system subject matter experts. Use financial, analytical, and systems knowledge to resolve issues, support budget and reporting activities, improve data quality, and translate business requirements into sustainable system and process solutions. This role works with limited supervision, coordinates cross-functional resolution of complex issues, and contributes to the reliable and efficient operation of Finance systems and reporting processes.
• Provide functional support to Finance Business Unit end users for SAP, planning, reporting, master data, interfaces, dashboards, and related financial applications.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, resolve issues within area of expertise, and coordinate escalations with SAP COE, IT, vendors, or other system SMEs.
• Support annual budget, forecast, month-end, and reporting activities by monitoring system readiness and data processing, validating results, communicating system status, supporting users, and coordinating timely resolution of issues.
• Lead or coordinate small to medium system enhancements and process improvements.
• Gather and document business requirements, assess impacts, support solution design, develop test scenarios, perform or coordinate user acceptance testing, and support implementation.
• Develop and maintain system procedures, process documentation, training materials, support communications, and knowledge resources.
• Provide user training, guidance, and knowledge transfer to improve system adoption and effective use.
• Analyze financial and system data to identify trends, recurring issues, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support management requests, audits, data governance activities, and ad hoc projects.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, financial systems, data analytics, business analysis, or related work.
• Experience supporting SAP financial processes, planning applications, reporting tools, or other enterprise financial systems.
• Experience with system issue resolution, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, or process improvement.
Other Job-Specific Skills
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and accounting concepts.
• Working knowledge of SAP financial applications and related data structures.
• Experience with SAP BPC or similar planning tools preferred.
• Strong experience with Excel and data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ability to coordinate solutions across business and technical teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, test cases, procedures, and user communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, organization, prioritization, and project coordination skills.
